Distribution: Global: Eastern Pacific Ocean; from Baja California and the mouth of the Gulf of California, Mexico, to northern Peru, as well as the Galapagos and Cocos Islands; entering estuaries and ascending river courses; Costa Rica: Ni, Te, Be, Ba, Ta, Pi, Tr and Co (Pacific), 0– 145 m.a.s.l., Per, Dia.
