Distribution: Global: Eastern Pacific Ocean; from the lower Gulf of California, Mexico, to Colombia; entering estuaries and littoral lagoons and ascending river courses; Costa Rica: Pi (Pacific), 0– 10 m.a.s.l., Per, Dia.

Occurrence and conservation status: Nat, DD.
