Type Locality: Brazil, Pará; right bank of lower Rio Tapajós according to Hershkovitz (1963).
Vernacular Names: Red-bellied Titi.
Synonyms: Callicebus (Callicebus) emiliae Thomas 1911 ; Callicebus (Callicebus) geoffroyi Miranda Ribeiro 1914 ; Callicebus (Callicebus) hypokantha (Olfers 1819) ; Callicebus (Callicebus) remulus Thomas 1908 ; Callicebus (Callicebus) sakir (Giebel 1855) .
Distribution: C Brazil, south of Amazon, between Rios Tapajós and Tocantins-Araguaia.
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
