Hab. - Hampstead.

Female (length 3 lines) of a brown testaceous red; the legs and antennas are pale testaceous, as are also the mandibles and apex of the metathorax; the scale is small, and not notched; the head and disk of the thorax very smooth and shining; the wings ample, and deeply smoky towards their base; the nervures and stigma are pale testaceous; the head is of the same width as the thorax, the eyes pubescent.

This species closely resembles F. flava , but the thorax is more elongate and narrower, the legs are stouter, and the eyes are pubescent; the female only has hitherto been captured in England.
