Notes
It is a common, hardy species with variable coloration. The larva which often occurs at the edges of ant hills of Formica rufa group feeds on nest material and various wood debris. Females lay eggs near the anthills and larval development takes two years. The adult appears from May to July on flowers and ripe fruits ( Hůrka 2005).
