Leaflets of legumes are common at both studied sites but difficult to distinguish into more natural species. The following survey stresses mainly size differences and general shape of the leaflets. The important trait, short petiolule, helps to differentiate such foliage, previously usually assigned to the carpologicalgenus Leguminosites BOWERBANK , from other angiosperms with similar blade forms.
