Distribution: Endemic to South Africa. Occurs in escarpment forests of SE Western Cape Prov., South Africa, between 2000-3600 m.
Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Dippenaar (1995) described a distinct population from the Langeberg Mtns whose conservation status he considered as "vulnerable".
