COMMENTS: We propose a correction of the species epithet Leipomeles spilogastra to Leipomeles spilogaster . Cameron described spilogastra in the genus Polybia , evidently considering the epithet to be an adjective and incorrectly assuming it needed to be feminized to agree with the genus name, which is feminine. ffie word “gaster” is also feminine, hence agrees in gender with Leipomeles .
