Type material.
Holotype, ♂, ZMB 3912 / 3912 a–b (Verhoeff slide nrs 2130-2131); “Zentral-Madagaskar”; leg. Hildebrandt.
Present name.
Junior synonym of Lassophora nossibei (de Saussure & Zehntner, 1902); synonymized by Würmli (1975b). Note that Giribet and Edgecombe (2013) res urrected the generic name Lassophora from synonymy with Scutigera .
Remarks.
The collector was the botanist and explorer Johann Maria Hildebrandt (1847-1881) who was active in Madagascar from 1880 until his death there from fever in 1881. A precise locality for the type material is not available.
