Chaetodontoplus poliourus Randall & Rocha 2009 —Greytail angelfish

Status at New Ireland. Reported from Kavieng, New Ireland in original description by Randall & Rocha (2009: 518); record confirmed by Allen & Erdmann (2012: 554); a video of a specimen taken at Anelaua Island, off eastern New Hanover, 4–12 m depth, St. KR130, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Eastern Indonesia east to Palau, south to New Guinea and Solomon Islands. Solitary or in pairs, in coral-rich areas of sheltered inshore reefs and seaward coral reefs, 1–20 m depth. Marine.
