Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 0.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Marshall Islands and Samoa, north to southern Japan, south to northwestern Australia. Found on sand, rubble and seagrass adjacent to coral reefs, 5–30 m depth. Marine.
