Upeneus lombok Uiblein & White 2015 —Lombok goatfish

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11241 (1 specimen, 69.2 mm SL, St. CP 4458-9, 11.0 km west of Kavieng , 2°33.33’S 150°41.45’E– 2°33.32’S 150°43.18’E, 180–181 m depth, R/ V Alis, 30 Apr. 2014), and NTUM 11363 (1 specimen, St. CP 4501-6, 9.4 km westsouthwest of Kavieng, 2°34.89’S 150°44.06'E 2°34.84'S 150°42.86’E, 94–95 m depth, R/ V Alis, 7 Sept. 2014) .

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Southern Indonesia to northeastern Australia. 54–180 m depth. Marine.

Remarks. The present species represents a new depth record for the species, which was previously known from depths of 54–60 m ( Uiblein & White 2015).
