Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11440 (1 specimen, 12.3 mm SL, St. KS 21, between Big Nusa and Little Nusa islands, Kavieng District, 02°34.561’S 150°46.348’E, 4 m depth, 7 June 2014).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Philippines east to Palau and Yap, south to New Guinea; Rowley Shoals (Western Australia). Secretive in crevices in coral reefs, 0–16 m depth. Marine.
