Manonichthys paranox (Lubbock & Goldman 1976)  —Midnight dottyback

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a video of a specimen taken at Anelaua Island, off eastern New Hanover, 4–12 m depth, St. KR130, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Papua New Guinea, northern Great Barrier Reef ( Australia) and Solomon Islands. Found in coral and rocky reefs, 12–40 m depth. Marine.
