Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 12339 (1 specimen, 26.7 mm SL, St. CP 4255-36, northwest of Kavieng ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Hawaiian Islands, north to southern Japan, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Benthic, 48–622 m depth. Marine.
