Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4419-7, northeast of New Hanover ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: antiequatorial in western Pacific: South China Sea to southern Japan; northern Australia and Papua New Guina to New Caledonia. Bathydemersal, 200– 366 m depth. Marine.
