Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4419-3, northeast of New Hanover; 2 specimens, St. CP 4498-23-24, north of New Hanover ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Indo-West Pacific: India east to Philippines and New Guinea, north to southern Japan, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Demersal, 50–400 m depth. Marine.
