Status at New Ireland. First recorded from off Kavieng, New Ireland by White et al. (2018: 215), White & Ko'ou (2018: 51), based a specimen collected during recent deep water surveys of the area (NTUM 11498).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Taiwan, to 340 m depth. Marine.
