Material examined. Korea Yellow Sea , station 31205 (34°2 ʹ 38.52 ʺ N, 125°29 ʹ 52.5 ʺ E), 11 April 2015, by Van Veen Grab, collected by Sangjin Kim. NIBR GoogleMaps ID: NIBR PR0000107228 View Materials .

Diagnosis. Umbilical side more convex than spiral side, involute with a raised umbo, spiral side coarsely perforate on chamber area. Wall calcareous, test circular, slight biconvex to planoconvex. Aperture low arch, interiomarginal, slightly extending to spiral side along inner periphery of last few chambers.

Remarks. Present specimen is very similar to the New Caledonia specimen reported by Debenay (2013), except the Korean specimen had slightly less depressed sutures on the involute side. According to WoRMS and the National List of Species of Korea (Protozoa) (NIBR, 2012), there are about 70 extant species in the genus Cibicides , and 13 species have been recognized in Korea.

Distribution. Korea, New Caledonia, Mediterranean Sea, Gulf of Aqaba.
