The Cyrtusa View in CoL genus-group

The Cyrtusa View in CoL genus group is defined as Leiodini View in CoL having a mesosternum that rises vertically between the mesocoxae ( Brown 1937a: 158; Newton 1998: 86; Peck 2001: 252). In the continental United States and Canada the “ Cyrtusa View in CoL genus group” is composed of the genera Anogdus LeConte View in CoL , Cyrtusa Erichson View in CoL , Isoplastus Horn View in CoL , Liocyrtusa Daffner View in CoL , Lionothus Brown View in CoL , and Zeadolopus Broun. This View in CoL is in contrast to members of the “ Leiodes View in CoL genus-group” that have the anterior margin of the mesosternum lying obliquely between the mesocoxae, and whose North American members are Ecarinosphaerula Hatch View in CoL and Leiodes Latreille.
