Host plants. Aesculus turbinata Blume (Hippocastanaceae) , Acer palmatum Thunb., A. pictum Thunb. var. mono (Maxim.) Maxim. ex Franch (Aceraceae) ( Inoue, 1982; Bae & Paek, 2006; Bae et al., 2008; Heo, 2012; Yamanaka & Sasaki, 2013)., Styrax obassis Siebold & Zucc. (Styracaceae) ( Heo, 2012).

Distribution. Korea, Southeast Russia, China, Japan ( Inoue, 1982; Park, 1983a, 1983b; Bae, 2001; Bae & Paek, 2006; Bae et al., 2008; Byun et al., 2009; Yamanaka & Sasaki, 2013).

Remarks. In this study, Styrax obassis was found to be the host plant of Patania harutai . However, we could not find larvae of P. harutai on Aesculus turbinata Blume and any species of Acer in this study. Therefore, we withhold judgement about feeding of P. harutai on these host plants in Korea.
