Note. The taxon reticulata was described together with monotypic genus Scardostrenia Sterneck, 1928 . Later, Wehrli (1939) placed reticulata in the genus Proteostrenia Warren, 1895 according to its external morphology. Recently, this association was questioned ( Makhov & Beljaev, 2019) and the original combination, Scardostrenia reticulata Sterneck, 1928 , was restored. Simultaneously, D. Stüning (personal communication) paid attention on the evident similarity between the male genitalia of S. reticulata and Hypoxystis pulcheraria (Herz, 1905) ( Fig. 19E, 19F View FIGURE 19 ). I studied the genitalia of a female S. reticulata and found the structure of its genitalia to correspond to the features of Hypoxystis Prout, 1915 , particularly, the shape of the sterigma, hollow signum and the excavated posterior margin of the abdominal sternite VII. Thus, I agree completely with Stüning’s opinion and move S. reticulata in the genus Hypoxystis as follows: Hypoxystis reticulata (Sterneck, 1928) comb. nov. As Scardostrenia Sterneck, 1928 is a monotypic genus, it is therefore considered a junior synonym of Hypoxystis Prout, 1915 syn.n.
