Non Synonym: Campylodiscus brightwellii Sodder.
Synonym: Campylodiscus undulatus var. brightwellii (Grunow) Peragallo.
Type locality: Red Sea .

Morphometrics: Valves 47–94 (50–70) μm long, 48–99 μm wide, and transapical ribs in the inner area of the valve 4 (4) in 10 μm.
Remarks: Campylodiscus brightwellii was reported from the Tahiti Islands ( Ricard 1977), the Penghu Islands of Taiwan ( Li 1978), Puerto Rico ( Navarro 1983), southern China Sea ( Jin et al. 1985, Yim & Li 2000), Yap Islands ( Navarro & Lobban 2009), Guam ( Lobban et al. 2012) and Chuuk Lagoon of Micronesia ( Park et al. 2018). It is a typical tropical taxon occurring in warmer ocenas. This taxon is rare epiphytes on the seaweeds of the Seogwipo coast in Jeju Island, South Korea.
