Type Locality: Angola, Pungo Andongo.

Vernacular Names: Bocage's Aethomys.

Distribution: Recorded only from NW Angola ( Crawford-Cabral, 1998) where it occurs in savannas interspersed with forest; geographic boundaries unresolved.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Morphology very similar to A. silindensis (see that account). Apparently uncommon ( Crawford-Cabral, 1998).
