Comment: the original spelling Colpodidas is the accusative (Latin) form of and Colpodidae was recognized as such by Madge (1989: 463); Colpodidae Poche, 1913 (type genus Colpoda Müller, 1773) has been used as valid in Protista as recently as in 2006; this case is to be referred to the Commission to remove the homonymy (Art. 55.3.1).
