TYPE LOCALITY: Panama, near head Rio Limon, Mt. Pirri, 4500 ft. (1372 m) .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

COMMENT: Treated as a subspecies of Rheomys trichotis (here included in Anotomys ) by Cabrera, 1961:511, but see Hall, 1981:776, who considered raptor a distinct species of Rheomys .
