DISTRIBUTION: Venezuela; Colombia; Ecuador.
COMMENT: Includes fulviventer and venustus; see Cabrera, 1961:420; Handley, 1976, Brigham Young Univ. Sei. Bull. Biol. Ser., 20(5):50, listed fulviventer and venustus as distinct species, without comment. Karology reviewed by Gardner and Patton, 1976, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. La. St. Univ., 49:26, 32-33.
