DISTRIBUTION: E. slopes of Andes in C. Bolivia.

COMMENT: Hershkovitz, 1962, Fieldiana Zool., 46:339, included wolffsohni in darwini . Pearson and Patton, 1976, J. Mammal., 57:341, considered wolffsohni a distinct species.
