TYPE LOCALITY: Iran, 60 km west of Kerman .

DISTRIBUTION: S.E. Iran; W. Pakistan; S. Afghanistan.

COMMENT: Includes subsolanus as a junior synonym; formerly this species was included in cheesmani by Schlitter and Setzer, 1973; but see Lay and Nadler, 1975, Mammalia, 39:437, 440; also see Corbet, 1978:123.
