DISTRIBUTION: Algeria to Israel and Jordan; North Yemen.
COMMENT: Includes mariae and jordani; see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951:634, Kock, 1978, Bull. Carnegie Mus. Nat. Hist., 6:31 -37, and Osborn and Helmy, 1980, Fieldiana Zool., n.s., 5: 179- 181, who included henleyi in genus Dipodillus ; but see comment under Gerbillus .
