Mar del Plata "Lorenzo Scaglia," 2(8): 176-180, considered Auliscomys a distinct genus as did Simonetti and Spotorno, 1980, An. Mus. Hist. Nat. Valparaiso, 13: 285-297, who compared karyotypes and morphometries of Andinomys , Auliscomys , and Phyllotis .
