Daphnia (Daphnia) obtusa Kurz, 1874 View in CoL .

A common planktonic species in spring, abundant in lakes, ponds and rice fields, in autumn found only in a single rice field (A38), but abundant here. Ephippial females occurred in spring in a lake (S20) and a rice field (S27). A widespread Palearctic species or species complex ( Maruoka et al. 2018; Korovchinsky et al. 2021).
