scientific name

Pseudochydorus bopingi Sinev et al. 2016
status

Pseudochydorus bopingi Sinev et al. 2016 .

Rather rare species found mostly in lakes in both spring and autumn. Littoral species, feeding on microcrustacean remains, occurs mostly in the samples with high density of other Cladocera . The species was described from material collected during our first Hunan-Hubei sampling trip and to date it is reported from Central and South China, Thailand and Vietnam (Sinev et al. 2016, 2020). Earlier Pseudochydorus records from China were attributed to P. globosus ( Ji et al. 2015) , but all populations from East China probably belong to P. bopingi . For description, see Sinev et al. (2016).
