Remarks. The old concept of Stigmella minusculella recently was shown to consist of two species, the second being S. stettinensis (Heinemann, 1871) (Laštůvka & Laštůvka 2004) . We have checked a series of specimens from the Paris museum and some of our own and conclude that they all belong to S. minusculella . For the time being it seems that S. stettinensis has a more eastern distribution. Still, many of these records need confirmation based on adult material.
