Material. 11: 4♂, 1♀, Sigéan , 23.vi.1991, AL & ZL ; 34: 1♂, 4 km NE Frontinan , 26.vi.2005, CG ( RMNH); 84 : 1♀, La Motte d'Aigues , 21.vii.1993, AL & ZL ; 1♂, 2♀, Pertuis , 10.vii.1991, 7.vii.1992, AL & ZL .
Remarks. Ectoedemia hispanica is common throughout the Iberian Peninsula (van Nieukerken et al. 2004a); these are the only records outside Spain and Portugal. Although its host is unknown, its occurrence in forests and shrublands with evergreen oaks ( Quercus ilex , Q. coccifera ), suggests that these are the hosts. We found barkmines on Quercus ilex , but they could belong to E. liguricella .
