D i s t r i b u t i o n. Austria, Belgium, Britain, European Russia (south); France (mainland and Corsica), Germany, Hungary, Italy (mainland and Sicily), Spain (mainland), Switzerland, the Netherlands, Ukraine; Armenia (first record).

H o s t p l a n t s. Bryonia dioica (Cucurbitaceae) ( Merz, 1994); Bryonia cretica L., B. syriaca Boiss. ( Smith & Bush, 1999).

Remarks. This species was recorded from Ukraine ( Richter, 1960) based on specimens collected by Jaroszewsky in Myrhorod in the 19th century; the specimen from Crimea was collected almost 70 years ago. This species has not been collected in Ukraine recently, to our knowledge.
