Biology: Recorded from Canarium (Burseraceae) , Dipterocarpus (Dipterocarpaceae) , Mangifera (Anacardiaceae) , and Palaquium (Sapotaceae) . The gallery system, as in other species of Arixyleborus , consists of a single gallery penetrating the wood, sometimes with a few short branches. As the larvae develop, their feeding activity extends part of the main gallery into a longitudinal brood chamber usually approximately rectangular in shape, and the width of the main gallery ( Browne, 1961a, R. A. Beaver pers. obs.). Kalshoven (1959) gives some details of gallery systems and brood found in Canarium in Java.
