Other distribution: Indonesia (Java, Sumatera), Malaysia (E. & W.). Intercepted in Japan in timber from East Malaysia. The species also occurs in Brunei Darussalam and China (Yunnan) (R. A. Beaver, unpublished records). (3)

Biology: Polyphagous ( Browne 1961a). The gallery system is branched in three dimensions, but does not penetrate deeply into the wood. ( Browne 1961a).
