Etymology. The species is dedicated to Dr. Niède Guidon, retired researcher from the FUNDHAM (Fundação Museu do Homem Americano, São Raimundo Nonato, Piauí State, Brazil), as a tribute to her valuable contributions to the knowledge and preservation of the Archaeological Sites in the Southeast of Piauí State, and her efforts in the protection of natural and cultural heritage of the region, located very close to where the new species was collected, in the Serra das Confusões National Park.
Diagnosis.The species can be recognized by mesial portion of urosternite VII with a dark brown patch and the valvifers VIII (vf8) posterior margin sinuous and mesial margins carinated.
Description (female). General morphology and coloration. Ovoid, medium-sized (total body length 9 mm). Dorsal color dark brown mottled with lighter areas, dense scattered dark brown punctures ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ), ventrally light brown with many dark brown punctures ( Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1 ); punctures forming two visible sublateral longitudinal stripes in urosternites II–VI; bearing sparse, small and thin setae along the whole body. Dark brown patch on mesial portion of urosternites II–III and on anterior portion of urosternite IV. Urosternite VII with a dark brown patch on the mesial portion. Reddish marks on lateral margins of each sternite ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ).
External female genitalia ( Figs. 3C–D View FIGURE 3 ). Valvifers VIII (vf8) subquadrate, longer than wide, posterior margins sinuous, surface with a small concavity near mesial margins, mesial margins carinate. Valvifers IX (vf9) barely visible, covered by the valvifers VIII.
Measurements. Female (n = 1, in mm): total length 9.20; width of abdomen at segment III 5.50; head length 1.80; head width across eyes 2.55; interocular distance 1.50; interocellar distance 0.95; lengths of antennal segments: I 0.55, II 0.80, III 0.80, IV 1.25, V 0.75; labial segments lengths: I 1.20, II 1.50, III 0.80, IV 0.80; pronotum length along midline 1.96; pronotum width at humeral angles 5.46; scutellum length along midline 4.76; scutellum width at base 3.65.
Male. Unknown.
