Description of Serratia plymuthica GT View in CoL 8-07
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, flagellated, non-pigmented and short rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, pulvinate, entire and ivory-colored after 2 days of incubation on TSA at 30° C. Positive for cytochrome oxidase, esculin hydrolysis, β -galactosidase, gelatinase, glucose fermentation and nitrates reduction, but negative for arginine dihydrolase, indole production and urease in API 20NE test. N - Acetyl-glucosamine, L-arabinose, capric acid, D-glucose, malic acid, D-maltose, D-mannitol, Dmannose, phenylacetic acid, potassium gluconate and trisodium citrate are utilized. Strain GT 8-07 (= NIBRBAC 000498088 ) has been isolated from plant root sample, Gumi , Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea .
