Platynectes babai Satô, 1982: 3 View in CoL (orig. descr.); Nilsson 1995: 56 (fauna), Nilsson 1998: 110 (descr.), Šťastný 2003: 245 (descr.), Liu 2020: 31 (descr.).

Type locality. “ China, Taiwan, Naka-Onsen ” .

Type material. Holotype ♂, deposited in EUMJ.

Material studied. CHINA: Taiwan: 3 ♂, “ Taiwan: Kaohsiung Weijin Bridge 22-VIII-1995 leg. L.J.Wang / Platynectes babai Satô, 1982 det. L.J.Wang 1995” ( JSCL) .

Notes. Habitus and male genitalia are given in Figs 2A View FIGURE 2 and 6A–B View FIGURE 6 .

Collection details. The specimens were collected in stagnant (usually shallow) water pools in the forests at altitude from 750 to 2000 meters, sometimes were collected at light traps ( Liu 2020).

Distribution. Only known from Taiwan, China ( Fig. 10A View FIGURE 10 ).
