Pronotum divided into two regions by a transverse tubercles, width of pronotum greater than its length. Distal part of exocorium black. Scutellum extends or approach apex of abdomen ( Figures 10 View FIGURE 10 . a, b, c, d). Proximal corners of scutellum without yellowish tubercles. Connexivum yellow, connexival tubercles absent. Proximal part of exocorium with yellowish tubercles. Dorsum black. Venter, spiracles and legs yellow.

Distribution. Europe: France, Portugal. North Africa: Egypt. Asia: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Israel, Syria, Kazakhstan (Asian part), Tadzhikistan, Turkey (Asian part), Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan. Afrotropical Region: Sudan ( Rider 2006; Péricart 2010).

Distribution in Turkey. Amasya ( Horváth 1889); Ankara, Konya ( Hoberlandt 1956); Antalya ( Lodos et al. 1998); Burdur, Mersin, Nevşehir ( Önder et al. 2006); Çorum ( Dursun 2004).

Comments. This Ponto-Mediterranean species was first recorded from Turkey by Horváth (1889) who found it in the surroundings of Amasya,. It is widely distributed in the Middle East, also have been recorded from Southwest Europe, also occurs in North Africa and extends up to the Sudan. Lodos et al. (1998) listed Circium sp. and Peganum harmala as host plants of this species, and Tribulus terrestris was recorded by Dursun (2004). Morphological differences beetwen male and female individuals and specimens from different localities can be recognized: scutellum is shorter than abdomen in females from Konya ( Turkey) but scutellum extends to the apex of the abdomen in female specimens from Egypt; also the distal corners of the pronotum are longer in the specimens from Turkey than in specimens from Egypt ( Figures 10 View FIGURE 10 . a, c).
