Original material: Herb. Linn. No. 94.19 ( S) ; Herb. Linn. No. 261.6 ( LINN) ; [icon] in Duhamel, Traité Arbr. Arbust. 2: 260, t. 68. 1755.

Current name: Sideroxylon lycioides L. View in CoL ( Sapotaceae ).

Note: Pennington (Fl. Neotropica 52: 170. 1990) indicated unspecified material in LINN as the holotype but did not distinguish between sheets 261.6 and 261.7. As they are evidently not part of a single gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply and the name remains untypified.
