Amud, Yeruham, Sede Boqer , Ein Avdat, Makhtech Ramon NR, W . Ujja , 12.02–9.10, but mainly in 06–08 ( TAU) (28 ♂, 16 ♀) . Egypt: Siwa , 31.08 .1935, (J. Omer-Cooper) 1 ♂, 2 ♀; Fayoum, 15.07.1973 (A. Freidberg), 1 ♀; Tabsanit, 2.08 .1991 (A. Freidberg ), 2 ♂, 1 ♀ ( NHMUK).

Distribution

Middle East: Cyprus, Egypt, Israel *, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates. Widely distributed in the southern and central parts of Palaearctic region, and in Afrotropical and Oriental regions.

Habits

Psammophilous and xerophilic species; adults visit flowers. Larvae are inquilines (kleptoparasites) in nests of Sphecoidea: Bembecinus asiaticus Gussakovskij, 1935 , B. hungaricus (Frivaldszky, 1876) , Bembix rostrata (Linnaeus, 1758) , Ectemnius cephalotes (Olivier, 1792) , Eremochares dives (Brullé, 1833) , Philanthus triangulum (Fabricius, 1775) , Prionyx pollens (Kohl, 1885) , P. viduatus (Christ, 1791) , Sphex leuconotus Brullé, 1833 , Sphex subtruncatus krombeini Vecht, 1984 , Stizus perrisii ibericus Beamount, 1962 , S. transcaspicus Radoszkowski, 1893 , Tachysphex costae (De Stefani Perez, 1882) , T. fertoni Pulawski, 1971 .
