Metavermilia cf. inflata Imajima, 1977 View in CoL

? Metavermilia inflata Imajima, 1977: 99 View in CoL –100. Metavermilia cf. inflata View in CoL —Mak 1982: 607.

Remarks. Not a new record. Mak’s tentative identification is accompanied by a rather short diagnosis. Since 1982 several new species of Metavermilia have been described, see overview in Nishi et al. (2007). As mentioned by Mak, the yellowish horny distal cap of the operculum is unlike M. inflata , and in the light of present knowledge might indicate that he had a juvenile specimen of M. nanshaensis Sun, 1998 in hand. More material and a description of the tube are needed for a reliable identification.
