( Fig. 193 View FIGURE 193 )
Holotype ♀, Thailand, Chantaburi, Khao Khitchakut NP, Khao Prabaht peak, 27.ii.2009, 12° 50.04' N, 102° 9.08' E, 875m, Suthida & Charoenchai (collection code T4045) (voucher BCLDQ01523, no sequence data) ( QSBG). GoogleMaps
Length of body 7.5 mm, of fore wing 6.2 mm and of antenna 9.0 mm.
Antenna with 61 flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere weakly acuminate. Median flagellomeres approximately 1 x as long as wide. Occipital carina reduced mediodorsally where its line is demarked by a sudden change of sculpture only. Mesopleuron and mesosternum densely punctate; precoxal sulcus weaky impressed with puncturation becoming confluent to give weak vertical striation; with distinct, largely unpunctate speculum. Propodeum with complete though somewhat irregular midlongitudinal carina. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.7 x 1-CU1. Fore wing subbasal cell largely setose, but apical part of fold surrounded by a slightly enlarged glabrous area. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.9 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.5 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 0.9 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell largely glabrous. Hind wing vein m-cu absent. Apex of hind tibia without comb of specialised setae medially. Claws without conspicuous pecten; hind claw strongly hooked. 1 st mestasomal tergite 1.1 x longer than posteriorly wide. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite moderately produced, rather triangular. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite weakly differentiated on anterior 0.6 of tergum.
Antenna with flagellomeres 19–38 white.
Etymology. Named in honour of Kees van Achterberg for his extraordinary contribution to braconid systematics.
Notes. In Chen & He (1997) keys to A. (Ar.) arsenjevi ( Belokobylskij, 1988) (as pulchricorpus Chen & He, 1991), but differs in having hind tibia white with apical 0.3 black, and in having the white stripe of the antenna commencing at the 19 th flagellomere rather than 25 th.
