Holotype ♂, Thailand, Chiang Mai Province, Doi Phahompok NP, 14.i.2008, 20° 1.06' N, 99° 9.581' E, 1449m, P Wongchai (voucher BCLDQ01492; no sequence data) ( QSBG). GoogleMaps

Body length 4.4 mm, fore wing length 3.9 mm and antenna length 4.9 mm. Antenna with 37 flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere cylindrical, weakly acuminate. Median flagellomeres 2.8 x longer than wide. Occipital carina complete, more or less evenly curved dorsally but with a distinct medioposterior dip; ventrally weak but apparently joining hypostomal carina. Mesopleuron largely aciculate, precoxal sulcus weakly impressed, slightly more coarsely sculptured, speculum small but distinct. Midlongitudinal propodeal carina present on anterior 0.6 of propodeum only. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 2.2 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Fore wing vein 3-SR 3 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 1.1 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.15 x 1-M. Hind wing vein m-cu virtually absent, marginally postfurcal. Apex of hind tibia without comb of modified adpressed setae. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of first tergite moderately developed (asymmetric, posteriorly concave on left side but more or less straight on right side). Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite not differentiated.

Etymology. Based on a combination of ‘aciculate’ and ‘propodeum’.

Note. Keyed out twice because hind coxa has faint transverse/oblique striation basally.
