Body length 6.0 mm, fore wing length 4.5 mm and antenna length 7.5 mm.

Antenna with 48–51 flagellomeres. Frons with distince sublateral carina parallel to eye, weakly transversly striate behind antennal sockets. Occipital carina complete or narrowly effaced medially, mediodorsally forming a point, joining hypostomal carina ventrally. Mesopleuron longitudinally striate rugose anteriorly becoming coriaceous rugose then posteriorly aciculate, precoxal sulcus weakly impressed, rugose. Speculum absent. Propodeum with complete, though posteriorly irregular, midlongitudinal carina. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.3 x 1- CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with distinct though narrow glabrous zone. Fore wing vein 3-SR 2.1 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.05 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.75 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu present as a pigmented fold, slightly antefurcal. Hind coxa distinctly striate. Apex of hind tibia with well-developed comb of specialised, adpressed setae both medially and ventrally between spurs. Claws with pecten of 7 or 8 long, fine, silvery teeth on basal lobe, these splaying and distinctly separated, and the penultimate ones longest. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite well developed, rounded anteriorly, steeply angled posteriorly. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite complete.

Etymology. From Latin divergere, meaning to diverge, in reference to diverging pectinal teeth of the claws.

Notes. Included in key in two places as the base of the hind coxa has some weak striation basomedially, but clearly more closely related to species such as A. ascrobi sp. nov. rather than most species with well developed basal coxal striations.
