Remarks: White did not mention the number of specimens examined of Bolitophagus antarcticus . In order to stabilize this name, a lectotype and two paralectotypes are here designated from the material of Bolitophagus antarcticus .

Type material examined: Lectotype ( MNHN): pinned, “ Port Nicholson N. Zealand [dark green label, handwritten] // Boletophagus [sic] antarcticus White Zool. Erebus & Terror [in White’s hand] // Typicum Specimen [red text with red rectangular border]” . Paralectotype ( MNHN): pinned, “ Port Nicholson N. Zealand [dark green label, handwritten] // Typicum Specimen [red text with red rectangular border]” . Paralectotype ( MNHN): pinned, “ Port Nicholson N. Zeald [dark green label, handwritten]” .
