The Paradelia intersecta View in CoL section
The monophyly of the present section, which includes all species of Paradelia less P. lunatifrons , is strongly supported in the male sex by (1) the absence of setae and setulae laterally on the posterior lobes of sternite V, and (2) the absence of a posterior submedian seta on the pregonites. According to Karl (1943, cf. Fig. 54 View FIGURES 54, 55 ), the presently unrecognized species P. alpestris (Karl) has indeed lateral setae on sternite V, but this is supposedly an artifact of the drawing.
